Program Overview
The Parenting Journey (P.J.) Program began in 2016 in Nova Scotia under the Prevention & Early Intervention Division of the Department of Community Services.
Parenting Journey is a home visitation program providing support for families experiencing complex social, emotional and familial difficulties which may impact overall family functioning, parent-child relationships and the well-being and development of children and youth 0 to 18 years of age. The program recognizes the well-being and development of children, youth and their families are impacted by their environment, communities and relationships with others. Parenting Journey uses a holistic approach to strengthen relationships between children, their parents, families and communities.
